PLM STUDENTS TAKE THEIR INTERNSHIP AT MIND BULLET INC.
Nine Mass Communication students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila take their On-the-Job-Training at Mind Bullet Inc. starting last April 2, Wednesday.
Mind Bullet Inc. is a market positioning and public relations company that believes that communication is, primarily, a human activity. It is a public relations firm which emphasizes the word "relations" in their work. The company is spearheaded by their President and CEO, Mr. Eero Brillantes.
The PLM students were given the task of monitoring the news, on-line blogging, news clipping, news archiving, participate in brainstorming and discussions, etc.
Enzo Toledo, one of the interns of the company, said that he was very happy and excited when he was accepted in the company.
“Honestly, I wasn’t really expecting that I would be accepted in the company. I think this would be a perfect opportunity for me to enhance more my skills and to be exposed to the real and exciting world of Public Relations.”
The students, as part of their requirements, are required to have 250 hours of internship in different fields of their interest in the mass media and other communication-related industries to enhance their skills and competencies on the learning they have acquired in the four corners of their classroom.
Ms. Angely Meggi Gayod, Event Coordinator of Mind Bullet Inc. as well as the Practicum Supervisor said that the company is very willing to accept interns. She also said that she was very much impressed with how the students of PLM work.
“The company is very willing to accept interns because the officers of the company have compassion to communication students. Because all of them are responsible communication graduates who are enthusiastic to share their knowledge about the craft. All the interns are very eager to learn and they are very impressive when it comes to their writing skills.”
