FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PLM SUMMER BREAKAWAY, THE MIND BULLET WAY

Nine incoming senior students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) are hired for an intern slot at Mind Bullet Inc., a marketing positioning and public relations company.

This summer would heed the beginning of the internship/practicum program of the incoming fourth year mass communication students of PLM. They would be exposed in the world of mass media and other communication-related industries that have a vast field of interests like advertising, marketing, journalism and public relations.

The interns applied for OJT in Mind Bullet Inc. because of the company’s excellence among others and the belief that the abilities and talents they have mastered from years of erudition would be honed and enhanced by the company’s expertise and credibility.

The nine mass communication student-interns of PLM are Charmaine Amponin, Paolo Cayco, Dickson Comia, Geraldine Ferreras, Isabelle Gacho, Louie Manalo, Jearry Berg Roperos, Ann Margaret Sumilang and Enzo Toledo.

In an interview, Sumilang said that she’s not threatened of insecurities anymore in the future because Mind Bullet Inc. has contributed a lot in teaching her the realities of PR practices in the country. In line with this, Amponin said that she’s valuing all the efforts extended to them by Mind Bullet Inc. by sharing some thoughts on excellent management through PR. “And it’s really fun here in Mind Bullet Inc. The officers are really affable,” added Roperos.

The interns’ duties and responsibilities include the following: clipping of newspaper (live and on-line); blogging (on-line); monitoring of news (radio/print/on-line); on-line marketing; and observation and participation in brainstorming, discussions and workshops of the company’s PR practices.

When asked how Mind Bullet Inc. managed to accept all the interns, Meggi Gayod, the events organizer and the internship supervisor said that “the company is very willing to accept interns because they have compassion for communication students. Because all of them are responsible communication graduates who are enthusiastic to share their knowledge about the craft.” She added, “as I can see, all the interns are very eager to learn and they are very impressive when it comes to their writing skills.”

Mind Bullet Inc. believes that communication is, primarily, a human activity. They provide strategic counsel and expertise. They are located at Unit 10L, Burgundy Corporate Tower, 252 Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City Philippines 1200. Telefax +632 856 4231. Or log on to www.mindbullet.org.
